Hello everyone, seeking advice on RAM timings. I recently upgraded to a 3700X and an Aorus Elite X570 motherboard. I installed two 8GB G.Skill TridentZ 3600mhz CL16 RAM sticks and tried adjusting the timings using the DRAM calculator. The results I got don’t match what appears in the UEFI/BIOS settings on my board—values like tRFC (alternate) aren’t listed. The BIOS also has settings I don’t see on the calculator sheet: tRCP, tRCP2, and tRCP4. How can I ensure I’m doing this correctly? Should I stick to the stock XMP settings or adjust around these numbers?

Activate xmp and then adjust the settings using the calculator, keeping any values outside its range as the standard defaults.

It depends on the situation. Starting with default non-XMP settings is a common approach, but you can test it. If issues arise, you can re-enable standards later.
