Hey everyone, I have two 8GB Trident Z RGB 3200 sticks and want to upgrade. I'm considering adding another pair of the same or switching to the larger 16GB versions. No issues so far—same CAS, speed, model, etc. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Avoid losing dual channel by doing this; it’s not advised. I suggest using the 32gb kit and storing the 16gb kit elsewhere. Edit: this applies only to Intel systems. In your situation, test performance. If it functions well, continue using them; otherwise, switch to the 32gb kit. Updated: December 25, 2021 by Pixelfie

I did it with my build using 2x8GB and 2x16GB TeamGroup Vulcan Z DDR4-3000 RAM, all set up for 3200 MHz without any problems. What could the other person be missing?

Could apply only to this case since I don’t have enough info about AMD and they have just two capacity options.
