I know exactly how frustrating this software is, especially for my motherboard and graphics card RGB setup. The main issue was broken firmware updates that wouldn’t install properly. I tried downloading and installing repeatedly, even after uninstalling and reinstalling. Now none of my devices show up with Aura Sync in Armoury Crate. I reset the PC multiple times, cleared the ASUS folder on the C drive, performed a full factory reset, flipped the PSU a few times, made sure the graphics card was properly seated, and even tried loading it again. Still facing problems—4101 error, installation failures, and no updates. The detection is tied to a physical chip, so I’ve rebooted several times. It’s really confusing and disappointing. Overall, Armoury Crate seems to be broken for me in two different ways.

Use the official Uninstall utility (download separately) for a clean removal. Skipping it may leave behind leftover files and issues. Opt for cleaner alternatives like SignalRGB or OpenRGB instead.

I used the official uninstaller repeatedly without any luck, then tried signalRGB but it didn’t accept my card colors either.

I previously relied on the EVGA Precision X1 utility with a Nvidia Founders Edition. It appears compatible with any Nvidia card, regardless of manufacturer. Verify your graphics card supports Microsoft Dynamic Lighting; some vendors offer beta firmware updates for compliance. Ideally, remove all proprietary RGB controls as well.

I saved signalRGB and it functioned properly on my graphics card, yet not on my motherboard's RGB. The motherboard's RGB turns off when the PC is powered down and restarts without software, which is frustrating. Aura Creator suggested updating both the graphics card and motherboard to enable RGB support, but since Armoury Crate isn't working, I can't apply the updates.
