I'm not sure if the other person likes multiplayer, but I don't play multiplayer in any of the Gears games. I only play single-player.

My partner and I attempted Gears 5 recently, but we had to halt our progress because he experienced nausea from the constant camera shake—even when all shake options were turned off. It still causes significant shaking throughout the game, making it difficult to play comfortably for anyone prone to such discomfort, like myself. Fortunately, I haven’t encountered this problem before.

Regarding what we managed to experience in the game, it’s clear it’s a console title. The movement and action feel quite stiff, and overall it feels somewhat restrictive. Personally, I was frustrated by how the game heavily relies on cover mechanics, but there doesn’t appear to be a way to transition your character directly from one cover to another; you’re forced to jump manually and rely on the game detecting your attempt to take cover. Many other games allow for smoother transitions between covers.

Another odd occurrence was encountering a player named Dave, a flying robot, joining our session despite being set to "Invite only." We had no method to remove them, and I’m not keen on interacting with strangers. If I set the game to invite-only, I’d expect it to enforce that restriction properly.
