I really enjoy Gears 5. Gears 3 was the last game I played. I liked the story in 5 a lot (though there were a few mistakes in my view), and the multiplayer is super fun. The tight gear mechanics feel just like they've always been. I'd recommend it if you're a Gears fan.

I won't lie...using a mouse and keyboard to play Gears of War is really strange. I'll have to get used to it.
The performance is decent, aside from the connection problems I experienced last night. It might be due to the server or my internet.

It's also nice to notice the increased use of assault rifles. The gnawing remains effective, though I'm finding myself leaning back more and focusing on the grind now.

Did you register for 'play anywhere'? I intended to test it last night but had no time... If yes, how challenging was the setup and what fees were involved? Also, can you play on xbo as well? Thanks!

I played the game anywhere ultimatw for $2. It took a while to download, mostly spent the whole day. Except for that, it's pretty straightforward.
If you're using a mouse with a different ID, it's best to lower the default sensitivity settings—they're really high.

Great, I also have a basic generic controller for my PC. I thought I could enjoy playing on Xbox One too.

Rx580 here, everything is fine in Horde and Escape. Haven't played Story mode yet. Also, you'll need an Xbox One controller to play on Win10. The Xbox Game Pass games worked after I used a new Xbox 360 controller for the Gears Tech demo—then they updated the app and it stopped working. Otherwise, it's great!

I mainly rely on Game Pass to test games before purchasing.
A good method is to check if your system can run the game and identify the optimal settings.

I've mostly played Gears multiplayer across all the series, but I find this and Gears 4 to be disappointing. The multiplayer doesn't feel very serious. Execution isn't impressive, and Warzone is missing. Skills like Torq and Longshot are rarely used. People don't really play the 1-life modes anymore in Gears.
