I noticed the performance was quite poor too. I adjusted the settings to low just for fun. The game was played on the Oculus DK2. I purchased it mainly because of VR support. Testing Oculus Runtime 0.7 with different Nvidia drivers on Windows 8.1 didn’t work. I switched back to Nvidia 350.22 drivers and Oculus 0.601. Fingers crossed CV1 will fix everything soon! Here’s a clip of my DK2 gameplay – big bird glitching it up! ARK: Survival Evolved – Running rough on 5960x + Titan x + 32gb RAM + X99 Asus Deluxe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjxwVli3_3E

Optimizing performance is usually the final step before a game launch. Wait until it's out and then evaluate if they've implemented changes. Improvements could come later if major code updates are made. Releasing a DX12 version might offer better speed—review development timelines, patch updates, and community feedback to gauge when optimizations will happen.

I played more ARK with Jai on a 5960x + Titan X setup using the DK2. With low settings and some mediums mixed in, there were occasional slow moments, especially during fights and when moving between areas. This game shows strong potential but could use better UI improvements in VR and fixes for some glitchy animations. Check out these two videos from today: Jai dominating LOL!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLzk4t6n3NM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efwfbtekFKY
