You're experiencing unexpected issues after only changing the case settings on your system. It could be related to memory management or other hardware/software conflicts. Your specs include an i7 8700K, Z370A Prime board, 16GB RAM, Trident Z and GTX 1080 Ti, running Windows 10 Home. Double-check BIOS settings, ensure drivers are up to date, and verify no conflicting firmware or hardware updates are pending.

Could it be that the system reacted unexpectedly after I assembled everything? I removed the RAM and reinstalled it, and the issue disappeared. That’s really strange.

No, there's no shock effect like that. It works or it doesn't. Looks like you had a bad seat for that RAM and reseating fixed it.

But I didn't adjust the RAM while changing the case. Everything was properly seated. I'll verify it.

It might have shifted a bit when handling it, but nothing to worry about. Happy now that it's functioning properly.

I previously experienced a problem with my old PC where the RAM would fail after cleaning... hehe.

After I messed with a bunch of USB stuff and tried to fix Windows through several driver install steps, each time I got a different error.
