Initially, here are the details: GTX 1060 6GB AMP! Edition (Zotac), AMD FX 8300, Gigabyte GA78LMT USB3 mobo, PNY Anarchy 8GB ram, 500w PSU. I was curious about overclocking and have tried gradually adjusting GPU and memory clocks, plus the fan if necessary. People mentioned a power target of 120, but it seems not essential since only a few used it. I also experimented with just increasing GPU and memory clocks, reaching +210, but didn’t notice a significant FPS boost in games. I mainly use FireStorm, though I can switch to other programs if needed.

For GPU OC, refer to this manual:
0. Set up MSI AfterBurner. Download and execute UNIGINE Valley or Heaven on Ultra.
1. Raise your power ceiling.
2. Boost your core clock by 25+ at a time while observing the UNIGINE benchmark until you notice artifacts (strange lines and colors) or your driver fails. Then adjust it in comparison to your earlier settings.
Example Core clock: +25 > ... > +150 > artifact > +125 > ... (Maintain 25 or higher below max)
3. Repeat the same process for Memory. (50 or more below max)
4. Save your configuration.
5. Avoid checking the overclock option at startup; you can review it after a few days.
Ensure your temperatures remain under 80°C/176°F, if they exceed this range or hover nearby, consider adding a fan to your case close to the GPU.

Have you already increased your CPU's speed? Even with a strong overclock on an FX 8300, it may still be limiting your 1060's performance in many games. This could explain why you're not noticing any gains from upgrading your GPU.

For GPU OC, refer to this manual:
0. Set up MSI AfterBurner. Obtain and execute UNIGINE Valley or Heaven on Ultra.
1. Raise your power ceiling.
2. Boost your core clock by 25+ at intervals while observing the UNIGINE benchmark until you notice artifacts (strange lines and colors) or your driver fails. Then adjust accordingly compared to your prior settings.
Example core clock: +25 > ... > +150 > artifact > +125 > ... (Maintain 25 or lower)
3. Repeat the process for Memory (50 or more below max).
4. Store your profile.
5. Avoid applying overclocking at startup; reassess after a few days.
Ensure your temperatures remain under 80°C/176°F, if they exceed this range or hover nearby, add a fan to your case close to the GPU.
