Your home has three levels with the router placed in the middle floor. On the upper and lower floors, the Wi-Fi is weak despite adding several boosters. The company's router is installed, but the thick walls in your Victorian-style house are affecting performance. We're trying to find better solutions.

Have you considered if this will completely address the problem? I’ve had my own experiences with similar situations.

They have outstanding APs. I’ve installed them in both my home and office. The controller is really great for monitoring and configuring everything. I believe the AP AC PRO will go on sale at roughly the same cost as the basic version—watch for it.

Consensus with Slottr. Regarding routers, they should provide sufficient gigabit LAN ports so repeaters maintain adequate bandwidth without becoming a bottleneck. If you choose equipment from Ubiquiti, they can assist effectively. Otherwise, you may need to handle some adjustments yourself via the web interface (though setting up repeaters is straightforward). I suggest the Xiaomi Mi Router 3G, but it might not suffice here. A better option would be an Asus RT-66U or similar, paired with repeaters for excellent Wi-Fi coverage across all three floors.
