There are some solid tools for tracking temperatures and other metrics during gameplay. They’re similar to MSI Afterburner but more stable and reliable.

MSI AB was the simplest to configure for me. You might want to try precision X, though I struggle to get it to show properly in games.

I previously relied on a tool called Core Temp, but it appears to cause freezing issues on Windows 10. It functioned well on Windows 7 and possibly 8 as well.

Aida64 performs well in-game. It's really challenging to use, but the MSi afterburner functions smoothly for me.

You can apply overlays within the game itself, even though MSI Afterburner is commonly used for that purpose.

It doesn't perform its intended function, shows incorrect information in the corner, seems to fail for no clear reason. Installed a replacement part, verified all checkboxes, but nothing works as expected.
