Hey there! You might not realize it, but I often download things from the web. I’m basically living in the digital world, and since my Kaspersky protection is nearing its end, I’m looking for something better. I’ve been using Kaspersky for about three years now and really need an upgrade. I’m hoping to find a good internet security solution that works well for at least a couple of years. Any recommendations? Thanks!

I would perform a weekly scan using MalwareBytes and a bi-weekly check with MalwareBazaar. https://www.malwarebytes.org/antirootkit/ https://www.malwarebytes.org/mwb-download/ http://www.avast.com/en-us/index If you wish, you can opt for paid versions but I rely on free tools and have never encountered issues.

Glary utilities is another solid option, similar to ccleaner, and it depends on personal preference for which one to choose. I have both versions; I store the portable editions on my thumb drive for occasional use.

Kaspersky stands out with its extensive signature libraries, adding approximately 315K daily infections. However, protection levels are around 60% for Windows users, making a Linux VM a smart alternative for safer browsing.
