I reverted to Skyrim and looked for ways to improve performance without compromising stability. Consider adjusting settings, updating drivers, or using a lighter mod pack. Your hardware setup seems solid—checking for updates and balancing resource usage could help reduce lag in castles.

You received a card meant to boost performance but ended up reducing it instead.

Consider adjusting settings instead of changing voltages. Overclocking might help, but undervolting could be better for stability.

Someone recommended reducing the voltage on one of your older posts.

I have a setup packed with several enhancements (including essentials like the unofficial patch, SKSE, SkyUI, etc.). To improve its appearance, I focus on specific additions: Quality World Map, SMIM, Total Character Makeover, Footprints, RLO for realistic lighting, SSE Texture Pack, Osmodius, Skyhud for a better visual style, HD Road Signs, Gecko's Dwarven Ruins textures (since I often end up in that area), Weapons Armor Clothing and Clutter Fixes, Noble Skyrim Mod HD-2K (a heavy texture pack), Blended Roads as an extra, Majestic Mountains, Cathedral Concept for enhanced mountain views, Northside extension to improve the mountains, and Less Ugly Tundragrass to fix the ground texture. This is essentially my current configuration without any gameplay-focused mods. Please verify if any of these require prerequisites before installing. These updates work smoothly at 4K on my machine, though results may vary. P.S. Make sure to use Mod Organizer 2 if you haven’t already.

I apply ENB/Reshade to enhance the appearance of Skyrim. For the 2015 SE version, I use Nyclix's ENB-Reshade. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspeciale...tab=images I achieved frame rates above 60 with a GTX 1080 at 3440 X 1440 and 4K resolution. It took about 10.8 seconds to reach all frames over 60. For the 2011 LE version, I used RealVision ENB. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30936 It performs similarly to the SE version. The terrain in Skyrim looks improved, while LE lighting is better for character photos. Here are the results.
