I only have GTA V and Warframe available for free in the Third Person Shooter section of Steam, which means I might be able to point you in that direction. If not, I’m not really into third-person shooters myself and don’t know much better suggestions.

Splatoon, Saints Row 1-3, GTA 3, San Andreas, Fallout 4 are available across various perspectives. You can enjoy them in third person on many platforms. The Star Wars Battlefront experience also shines in third person mode.

I was about to propose that idea. I wouldn’t label Assassin’s Creed a third-person shooter, but rather a third-person action experience.
