I usually go with AVG. I ended up purchasing the full version, though the free one is just fine.

Surveys aren't viruses... I receive them from sources such as BestBuy and Sony. I recommend using MalwareBytes, which is excellent. The Windows Defender scan is also reliable.

Consider using adblock plus for better browsing. Peerblock is also worth exploring.

They're actually quite bothersome, but I'm considering removing them. AVG looks like a solid choice, and Avast seems to be gaining more attention. I wasn't sure about the situation before.
