Here are some top free antivirus options for both Mac and PC. For Mac, look for ultra-light solutions to keep performance smooth. On PC, you’ll want something more robust since your system is powerful. You’re already using Avira Free on Windows and Mac—great choice there. If you’re considering Bitdefender Total Security for PC later, it’s a solid option. Let me know if you need more details!

I have my opinions on AVG but I haven’t shared any for the Mac version.

I've experienced it before, yet I'm not very comfortable with it.

I’ve been using MalwareBlaster since Linux recommended it. My main concern is whether Avast works well for both Mac and PC, and what I think about Bitdefender. Thanks!

I'm checking another one besides that. I've scanned both devices with Malwarebytes. It's clearly the top choice for malware detection.

Works for PC, Mac, and both platforms. On Bitdefender, my thoughts are positive about its security features.

Install programs directly and avoid downloading any pirated files. Anti-virus isn't necessary in this case. Easy as that.
