Looking for a lightweight, no-frills antivirus that won’t hog resources or lock you in. Need something free or very affordable, preferably under 200 MB. Want options that respect your system’s performance and don’t feel like a hassle.

Kaspasky is generally considered a top antivirus program, though I've got the Pro edition.

Avast free antivirus is consuming roughly 10 to 30MB of memory. Check the Task Manager if needed.

Malwarebytes suggests using it to show you're not doing well, but it's not entirely accurate. Antivirus tools still exist, though they aren't perfect. Don't ignore online browsing—run a scheduled scan with Malwarebytes for peace of mind. It's one of the better options available.

Based on my observations, the newer versions of BullGuard perform well. It's similar to Norton, but without the "overly attached girlfriend" vibe. From my tests, Norton is extremely poor in terms of performance.

Malwarebytes remains effective.
Its size is approximately 65MB on the hard drive.
Most antivirus programs restrict its functionality to avoid removal by malware.

~ram Guys, I'm talking about malwarebyte's RAM consumption, not criticizing the whole product. I appreciate all its features except for that. I'm looking for an antivirus that works well even during gaming. I didn't mean to imply malwarebytes is bad.
