I was a beta tester, believe it or not, you need to see if it meets your protection needs. The top free option I encountered during testing against many viruses is Malwarebytes. Microsoft’s approach here isn’t particularly strong for virus database updates. Avast performs well and is solid, though not the most effective. The best paid program I’ve used recently is Kaspersky Internet Security 2014. Hope this helps!
