Antialiasing inconsistently across all games
Antialiasing inconsistently across all games
I've been seeing a significant lack of anti-aliasing in all the games I play lately. It seems to have been there before, but it wasn't obvious because I was using lower settings and expecting it to work. After updating everything except the GPU, the problem persists across every title. I've even tried reinstalling the GPU drivers via DDU and reinserting the card, but it didn't fix anything. Your system specs are: R5 5600X, RX6600X, 32GB RAM.
These games don't have FSR or upscaling activated, so they appear similar to standard FSR artifacts.
You’ve used a Radeon GPU before too. Launch the Adrenal software and verify that AA is set to application mode—remembered which panel it’s in and you’re not near your PC, though it should be easy to locate. Also, ensure dynamic resolution (Radeon Boost) is disabled since those settings caused similar problems; the issue arises when the game reduces its frame rate during movement, making the visuals appear blurry or pixelated. The exact panel is hard to pinpoint but isn’t too difficult to find.
It might have been, but I didn’t really pay attention because I played in lower settings. I see this problem in every game, and when I watch the footage, it doesn’t match what I expect. I’m worried the GPU could be bad. I’ll test using another monitor, maybe that’s the cause. If not, I might need to replace the GPU since this is getting frustrating at times.
It's odd. Make sure the render resolution is set to 1.0 or 1:1; some games automatically reduce it for various reasons. If your monitor cables and drivers are standard, try reconnecting the card and reseating it. No other ideas come to mind.
I've already switched to another cable; now I'm stuck with the monitor and GPU.
