Other players are also thrilled about this match! I’m hoping it’s indeed a sandbox with all of Middle Earth available for exploration. Plus, they’re finally bringing Celebrimbor to the audience who isn’t familiar with Tolkien’s lore about the creation of the rings and Sauron’s true form, Annatar. It would be great to see a film on this topic even though the character you play isn’t in any books—it fits perfectly.
What is this? A LOTR game I do not know about? If it can top LOTR conquest then I'm all for it (the amount of times I did capture the ring first to 15 on the shire with my friends, die and swap out was incredible. It could take us 4+ hours to complete a single game it got that competitive)
It seems like you're excited about something new! It really does look impressive. You and Celebrimbor are working together—even though he's no longer alive—to fight Sauron.
I haven't played any of the LotR titles, and I've only read The Hobbit. But this game seems incredible. I was halfway through a gameplay trailer and had to pause so I could place an order. It feels like a mix between Assassin's Creed, God of War, and Disco Elysium with a LotR twist. It has a LotR skin on top. I'm really excited about it, just hoping the console version isn't a disappointment.
You can locate it if you search for Battle for Middle Earth 2. It's definitely the best of the LOTR games I've played. The skirmish mode is especially engaging.
