Hello, I have a copy of Rainbow Six Siege on Steam. Recently, a big season update named Void Edge was released, but it’s 65GB—way too large for my internet speed. It uses up about two months of data. Do you know if there are any third-party sites offering a smaller version? Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

It's disappointing since pirates typically manage to shrink their games efficiently, making them more manageable for developers.

This happens because pirates can easily modify the code while developers focus on creating new content to encourage ongoing player investment. Sharing download links is tricky since a valid Steam account and key are still required, but we’re unable to provide those sites due to forum guidelines.

This has nothing to do with ambiguity; owning the game doesn’t grant you the right to share it. DDPs and physical shops enter agreements with publishers for distribution, but regular buyers don’t have those privileges.

I think he was referring to something ambiguous. I moved files between computers so a friend wouldn’t have to waste time downloading, and I wasn’t concerned about the ethics. Everyone receives compensation.

Oh right. Yeah you're probably correct. Theres a difference between giving you're friend the files and running a website that hosts them for anybody to download though.

We frequently duplicate game files to avoid repeated downloads due to high internet costs. We didn’t realize sharing paid games—like those on Steam or elsewhere—was acceptable.

It's important to understand that you shouldn't feel guilty for assisting a friend. I've experienced this multiple times. However, managing a website hosting game files is absolutely not advisable. You'll likely face questions from a judge soon.
