Morning folks! I'm setting up my PC in a dedicated gaming space and am looking for a solid alternative to Ethernet. The signal needs to be steady and strong. My internet speed is around 500MB, and I usually get about 550MB via Ethernet. WiFi here is weak, so it's mainly for browsing. I've heard of mesh networks but they seem costly for a single room. Powerline is something I've used before, but I'd like to maximize the 500MB as much as possible. Any suggestions?

In general, I wouldn't suggest using powerline-adapters. They rarely justify their cost and are easily damaged by heavy appliances such as washing machines, vacuum cleaners, microwaves, etc. If you must run Ethernet cables, do it carefully and discreetly—ideally along the ceiling where it's less noticeable. You might even consider offering your partner a generous gift of her favorite chocolates to make up for the inconvenience.
