I'm currently experiencing several problems with the 1.09 version. Performance is poor, causing lag and crashes. I had to switch to Medium settings just to maintain stable FPS. There are graphical issues too—like an odd skybox above me on Eos, strange lighting in Kett generator areas, items drifting in mid-air, and the cursor getting stuck repeatedly when exiting menus. Characters sometimes get pulled into walls, their feet stuck in textures, and underwater rendering is missing, which becomes obvious during camera pans. Some minor quest-related bugs appear as well. The game seems rushed, and it's disappointing that it wasn't fully finished. Despite this, I'm still working to fix it as much as possible. The Hardcore combat is tough but rewarding, and I can't imagine how it would feel in Insanity.
I completed it for the second time last month, logging over 200 hours. As a big Mass Effect enthusiast, I might have a slight bias in my view. It’s now available under Origin access, though I’m unsure how long a month counts in your country. If you’re in the UK, it’s £3.99 per month, and there are some solid titles on it, so it’s worth trying.
For ME:A, it isn’t the most optimized experience. The 1080ti struggles to keep up with 1440p/60fps when graphics are pushed hard, but adjusting settings like ambient occlusion, shadows, and post-processing helps it run smoothly and looks great.
Regarding the main game, it’s a bit repetitive—many choices lead back and forth between sections, though they’re optional. The story isn’t as polished as other titles, but there are some strong quests and side missions. Drack is my top character, and his arc is entertaining. Overall, I enjoyed it, though I’m still eager for a true ME3 sequel.
I’d rate it: Graphics – 8.5/10 (stunning but not optimal), GPU usage – 8.5/10 (great combat, solid missions), Gameplay – 7.5/10, Story – 7/10. For ME fans, it’s 70+ hours of content; if you have Origin access and like the early part, it’s definitely worth a try.
I don’t rely much on modified games, yet Skyrim, Watch Dogs, and GTA 5 work just fine for me.
The current toxic tendency is pushing everything toward larger sizes and more open environments, often at the cost of a well-structured story.
