I've been interested in Android devices since the Galaxy S2 was released. There are several advantages to using one. You can root it and run emulators, which adds flexibility. Just make sure to stay respectful in the comments.

Creating your own apps works for both iOS and Android. It gives you more control, that’s all. Custom ROMs are mainly useful when dealing with inferior stock versions. I don’t see a point in installing one on my LG G4 unless I want to, because I already had a better experience with the iPhone 6. Its battery life is top-notch compared to other high-end phones.

It's simpler to tailor your setup. You can set up new lock screens and home screens. Third-party apps can be downloaded—though Apple seems to be doing this more, but not as extensively? Rooting provides full phone control, including basic CPU management, which is great for improving performance or battery life depending on your needs. By the way, if you're purchasing a device, check out the G3; it's the best phone I've ever owned. The G4 isn't worth it, by the way.
