Hello! I’ve been experimenting with Android on x86 lately and… the results have been disappointing. I’ve tried Bliss 11, 12, regular x86 setups, and planned to try others tomorrow. The experience was really bad—very unstable, frequent crashes, and it didn’t let me run any freeform Windows apps. Only Bliss 12 worked somewhat, but it was still glitchy with many visual problems and would often restart unexpectedly. Anyone have more insights or tried similar setups? I’m planning to use Android on an older i5 PC for social media and a modded Instagram to download content. But the ones I’ve used either freeze in fullscreen mode or behave erratically, while normal x86 Android just doesn’t work at all (especially with Ethernet). I searched online but didn’t find any good options. I’m considering trying Prime OS tomorrow. At the moment, I rely on Samsung Dex for a desktop feel, but I’d prefer a proper PC for this task. The current dongle lacks an extra USB-C port for charging, and it won’t last long until my existing adapter stops working. If anyone has tips or suggestions, please share! 💡

Just tested PrimeOS and it’s extremely functional, the top choice I’ve used. But the specific app I require isn’t functioning properly. I suspect the issue is related to x86 architecture. The app name—Insta Ultra (a sideloaded, modified Instagram version) or similar—isn’t working. When searching for an official Instagram APK online, I found various versions, including an ARM-based one. It looks like the modded version is likely designed for ARM systems and wouldn’t run on x86. That’s my assumption, but without a compatible app, the system feels quite limited. I’ll stick with my Samsung DEX setup since it works well. Thanks! PrimeOS is great, though it’s disappointing this particular app isn’t available. I usually need to download items quickly and smoothly using a desktop version like Dex, which really improved the experience. Without it, things feel much slower and frustrating.
