I purchased a new microSD card but it appears unsupported in Android. When I attempt to format it, it warns me that I must format it first and then causes an error after 20%. I don’t have a USB adapter for my PC, which is why the card doesn’t show up when I connect my phone via USB. Anyone have any suggestions or solutions for this issue? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

The card is made and sized appropriately. Just a reminder to get that phone charger!

Which phone model you're using determines the appropriate card size.

It's a Samsung 32GB EVO Plus, paired with the Samsung Galaxy J5 from 2016.

The card might not be working properly, but the simplest method to check is on a PC. Thanks for letting me know you don’t have an adapter.

If you placed the card while the phone was off, you could power it down, remove the card, wait for it to restart, then reinsert it while it was on. Or do the opposite. My apologies, I couldn't assist much.

My friend arrived and I demonstrated the issue; he suggested a possible fix... A break in the golden pins means I no longer require the adapter, just a fresh microSD card. Thanks for your assistance—have a wonderful day!
