This guide addresses a pixel problem. Your system details differ from the example provided. Appreciate Google Support resolving this; it’s a recognized issue with the Pixel 8 Pro running Android 15 Beta - AP41.240823.009. Key signs include: Android fails to respond—pressing the camera button twice triggers a haptic feedback and displays a black screen. Swiping down reveals the full notifications panel instead of the usual half view. Soft buttons trigger feedback only (like highlighting a 'do not disturb' option), without performing actions. The home screen background and gesture areas are missing, the gesture bar might disappear completely, and the screen brightness changes unexpectedly. Holding power opens the power menu, but keeping it active doesn’t shut down the device; it may turn off after a few minutes of continuous holding. When reset, the phone won’t power on unless plugged in, and it shows the charge level. To fix: open FastBoot—though it takes longer than usual. Press and hold POWER + VOLUME DOWN for 45 seconds, or until the bootloader screen appears (may take over two minutes). If 'START' isn’t selected, use the volume keys to choose it. Press power once to begin booting. Everything should work now! REMEMBER: Expect longer startup times than normal.

It would be great if the issue had been just my P8P, not the whole battery control board.
