A screenshot from MSI Afterburner displays my GPU usage falling to zero percent and my FPS dropping significantly after I paused. This occurs regularly, especially in games other than the one I’m playing. I’ve uninstalled GPU drivers using DDU in safemode and reinstalled them multiple times. I found a similar discussion here, but it didn’t get resolved. The game featured VALORANT, which is less demanding, so I wasn’t certain if it was directly related. Anyone have any advice or suggestions?

It seems like the issue might be related to VRAM usage. I initially thought it could be a problem with VRAM but didn't check until it persisted. To confirm if VRAM is being overused, I recommend using GPU-z or HWiFNO and checking the PCIe bus activity.

I've experienced problems where the game would begin around 60 FPS after enabling ray tracing, but then dropped below 30 FPS and remained that way regardless of my actions. I had to restart the game to restore performance. However, with the latest update, this issue hasn't occurred.

Interesting. I hope that's the case for me too. It seems to run smoothly between those spikes. I expect around 60-90 FPS, which would lower my GPU usage significantly and make it feel like a slideshow lasting 3 to 5 seconds. I'm trying to understand what might be causing this issue.

Will it return to its usual functioning afterward?

Yes. It stops completely or slows down to around 3-5 frames per second for a brief moment under 8 seconds, after which it resumes functioning normally.

It seems that might just be the case. I hadn't considered that most things could consume all 24 GB of a 3090, but CP2077 has caught my attention in many aspects, which means anything is possible. Appreciate your responses.

What cables are you employing for connecting to your displays? I would confirm they are all utilizing the identical latest version of the cable.
