From what you've shared, the settings that work best are around 100% AA with Resolution Scale at 130%. You're considering skipping AA for a cleaner look and adjusting Resolution Scale to 135%, while keeping Ultra and using a larger monitor.

Resolution scaling offers advantages over AA yet demands greater processing power; when FPS is strong, scaling usually enhances visual quality noticeably.

It seems the resolution scale functions like a form of supersampling. It increases the resolution proportionally and then reduces it back to the original size.

SSAA consistently appears more refined than typical post-processing techniques like FXAA or SMAA due to the richer data it processes. Perhaps one future update will introduce a PPAA variant that incorporates details about the original scene, allowing for enhanced performance or dynamic resolution scaling within specific areas such as power lines or fences. This would help reduce its visual footprint while preserving quality. Regardless, SSAA remains the top choice overall, offering superior visuals compared to other methods, though it remains costly. Recent developments focus on lowering the expense of AA without significantly improving its results.

Claiming resolution scaling is superior to AA is misleading since resolution scaling, also known as super sampling, falls under the broader category of AA techniques. However, SSAA consistently outperforms all other AA methods.

Battlefront skips MSAA too, similar to BF3/4/Hardline. It relies on basic post-process effects like AA, SMAA, and TAA instead. Not really my style.

Super sampling eliminates aliasing effectively, though the approach I discussed involves traditional AA techniques that rely on mathematical methods instead of scaling.

It seems the optimal results come from combining resolution scaling with FXAA at lower settings. Higher or medium values cause excessive blurring.
