I'm checking if I'm interpreting the Q-codes correctly in my ~10-year-old system that no longer posts updates.
My motherboard is an ASUS MAXIMUS VII HERO Z97 ATX DDR3 2600 LGA 1150, which shows the Q-codes directly on the board. When I try to turn it on, a sequence of numbers appears over 5-6 seconds before the system restarts and attempts to boot again. I never receive a signal from the monitor.
The codes I see are: 00,15,16,00,21,33,35, 39, 40, 58,65,00.
It looks like there are more codes flashing too quickly for me to read. However, the last code before shutdown is consistently 58,65,00. I think code 65 suggests a CPU issue. I'm open to replacing the CPU if it would fix the problem, but I want some advice before doing so.
This issue began about a week ago and resolved itself after I unplugged all peripherals and reconnected them. It started again during a reboot.
I read a pinned post about similar situations, but it seemed relevant only after a new build or hardware change. My PC has worked fine for years, so I suspect something random might have shifted, though I could definitely check if that's the case.

Didn't include details about your RAM and GPU make/model, nor did you specify the PSU type. For power setup, ask if you've sourced a stable unit and used minimal components during testing.
Sorry, I can't access parts I don't buy or unused PSUs. Swapping isn't feasible without purchasing new components. However, I can suggest a more affordable CPU cooler that fits your setup if you'd like. Removing the cooler would allow you to test RAM without having to swap it out each time you change configurations.
I managed to remove the GPU and all but the DIMM in the A2 slot. Initially, the PC would power it on and off quickly, around ten times before it booted up and stopped showing a Q-code. Now the monitor isn’t detecting any signal from the IGPU’s HDMI connection. I plan to reinstall the discrete GPU to see if I can get a signal this way, but I’m not sure why it wouldn’t send a signal at all. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Could it have been your action that caused the CPU to be disturbed in the socket while taking out the cooler? Maybe a new installation is needed.
When i got everything apart (sorry, nearly 10 years since I adjusted hardware in this thing), I saw that I could simply take out the fans from the cooling block, as well as the RAM and GPU. It was very tight, and some pressure was applied to the cooling tower while removing the RAM, but I didn’t actually take it out. It won’t hurt to try reseating the CPU before buying a new one, though. I’ve already removed all RAM except the one in slot 2 (A2). This is what’s making me anxious about buying a new CPU. I don’t have a spare CPU MOBO or PSU to test, and honestly, if it’s the motherboard or PSU, I’d rather explore a new system instead of spending time and money replacing parts and rebuilding everything. What I’m trying to decide is whether it’s worth spending around $150 on a CPU and hoping it’s the issue.
It would be better to set up a new system since the current one is quite outdated. To check if the PSU works well, you could purchase an affordable PSU tester. Thank you all for your assistance. It seems I'm planning to assemble a new computer for my daughter. She deserves one after years of using second-hand devices... now I just need to get familiar with modern hardware, as I haven't built a new system since the pandemic.
