An intense brief moment.
An intense brief moment.
I experimented with the RGB settings on your motherboard and accidentally damaged the LED_CPU header. It was a sudden surge of smoke, and my heart nearly stopped. After the short, the board still functioned properly when I switched to another header. Could this have harmed your CPU? Is it a positive sign that your PC didn’t power down and kept running? Your system is still operational, which is good news.
You likely connected a 12V strip to a 5V header (which this board doesn't support) or vice versa. If it functions properly, it should work well overall. Updated July 13, 2020 by TofuHaroto
It might be the strip there. I’d skip that header, but if it functions then it should be okay.
