As an avid PC gamer utilizing the following hardware: Radeon R7 2700x, GeForce RTX 2070 Super, 16 GB of RAM, X470-F Gaming motherboard, a 1 TB hard drive, and a 256 GB solid-state drive, I’m seeking guidance regarding a recurring issue. Specifically, when playing Fortnite, the game consistently freezes immediately upon launch and is subsequently followed by a notification stating “application hang detected,” leading to the program’s termination. I would appreciate any suggestions or troubleshooting steps to resolve this error.

If an app stops responding and freezes or shuts down, have you checked to see if your device drivers are current?

My hardware components are currently operating at normal/reduced temperatures. This issue arose following the installation of Fortnite onto a hard disk drive rather than a solid-state drive.
