Discovered a deal on a h61h2-mv + i3 2120 but the board isn’t posting and emits three brief beeps. Since I’m not used to beep codes, I assume it’s not a damaged VRM (CPU gets power) and the board tries posting without issues. The three short beeps are unclear—what do they signify? Also, is there a reference guide or list of beep codes for AMI?
It looks quite correct. The 970 Extreme3 also makes a beep three times if RAM isn't installed properly—likely needing a socket and RAM slot cleaning. Probably just needs a bit of maintenance before using the extra RAM, especially since it mentions a 1GB module.
