I own an AMD Ryzen 5 1600X with stock clocks, a 1070 Ti processor, and a B450 motherboard. With the arrival of Zen 2 chips, I've been considering upgrades. The main concern is whether it's worth moving to something like the Ryzen 5 3600 or R7 3700X, or sticking with the 1600X for five years.

It depends – do you have extra money to spend? - Are you into many games with higher IPC? Check the YouTube comparisons. Sure, if it fits your situation.

Imo - it's not that strong and a 1600x is more than enough for most jobs. Think about it again when your GPU gets better.

After thinking more, I believe the comparison video isn't worth it. Plutosaurus seems smarter to upgrade the CPU and possibly the whole system before replacing the GPU.
