I aim to push the overclock to around 4.3 ghz with your H100i cooler, AMD 8320, ASUS M5A97 Plus, motherboard, and I’ll also share the recommended safe overclock specifications.

The m5a97 is expected to perform poorly, lacking VRM heatsinks, but the non-level version might work well for a light overclock, according to overclock.net.

This motherboard isn't suitable for overclocking. The 4+1 power phases aren't adequate, leading to instability and throttling.

It's alright, thank you. I have it at 4.0—it looks too good to be true.

I own the M5A97 original unit. It’s the first one, paired with the Fx8320 and cooled by a TX3evo. In winter, when temperatures reach about 24°C, I increase the overclock manually. Since I don’t have manual settings, I rely on the AI suite to handle it. It performs well, staying stable around 4.1. The RAM frequency drops slightly from 1600MHz. I’m not an expert overclocker, but the results look quite doable.
