Choose between AMD and Intel based on your needs. Consider which excels in specific tasks and compare their pricing to find the best fit for your budget.

I really admire AMD, though their chips are becoming outdated. They work fine for some affordable setups, but Intel’s latest releases really take over the market.

It depends on what offers the best balance of cost and results. Also, there are roughly a million similar discussions online.

Intel all the way. The new Pentium G3258 is a solid budget processor. What we require next is an overclockable i3—basically a dual-core with hyperthreading—and AMD is out of the picture. Note: NOT A FANBOY OWNS AN 8350 CPU FOR SECONDARY GAMING RIG

I'll choose whatever offers the top practical performance for less than 100 USD...

Avoid starting heated debates. The outcome varies by use case. Don't assume everything is the same.

AMD should focus on CPUs instead of APUs since that’s what developers truly need.

AMD affects performance negatively. AMD is not suitable for budget builds. AMD is generally considered a poor choice.

I enjoy AMD CPUs, but the top models are becoming outdated, so I’m sticking with Intel for better overall performance. I’d really like AMD to develop new processors so we have more choices.
