They mentioned that if you're looking to cut costs, you might also want to look at the 3300X (priced around $120) or the 3100 (around $100). These newer CPUs are quite capable, and since they’re relatively new, I don’t have specific benchmarks compared to older i5 models. However, if they don’t perform as well, they should still match or exceed those older ones.

The 3300X performs similarly to the i5 9400F across the board, especially for everyday use and games. It's essentially a budget-friendly version of the 7700K.
