Pretty much any Ryzen model isn't worth it. By the way, end of story. Flex-based setups aren't worth the money because you can easily find an i5 that outperforms the best FX options available.

You're planning how to use the budget for hardware. For gaming, Ryzen makes sense; for a media room, an Athlon 2 X2 or Phenom 2 X4 would be a great choice.
