AMD Ryzen 9 7900X paired with MSI PRO B650M-A featuring Wi-Fi and an easy debug LED in red.
I’ll begin by stating that I’m a seasoned IT professional... yet I’ve still missed something obvious! At our company, we’ve purchased two systems for our demanding tasks: a CPU of AMD Ryzen 9 7900X, a motherboard from MSI PRO B650M-A, 23GB of RAM (two 16GB modules), Corsair Vengeance 5600MHz CL36 cooler, and a Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 PSU with a 650W 80+ Gold unit. The storage is a 1TB Samsung 980 Pro equipped with a heatsink. All two systems are showing the same problem—no response, CPU LED red, RAM LED amber, indicating the board isn’t recognizing them. I’ve tried several troubleshooting steps: cleared everything except the CPU, cooler, RAM, and PSU; removed the RAM without any alarms; reinserted it; reseated the CPU; inspected for damage in the socket and on the chip; verified proper thermal paste application; used only 8-pin power and 8+4 pin power. I’m still puzzled—how could anything be wrong if everything seems to be plugged in correctly? I don’t know if the CPU is actually getting power or if I should try a different PSU without another one on hand.
They are clearly the 7900X model, not the 3D. The board includes a flash BIOS button above the rear IO, although I’m uncertain because there’s no display output.
Check if the RAM fits the designated slots. Tested using just one RAM module. Confirm it appears on the motherboard's QLV catalog.
I have the RAM installed in slots A and C, which are the standard dual-channel setup. Changing one stick or skipping them doesn't affect performance. The CPU and RAM modules (CMK32GX5M2B5600C36) are confirmed compatible. Note: Using slots A and B took about 30-40 seconds to boot successfully. Manual guidance suggests using B/D for dual-channel and B for single, which aligns with the RTFM approach I was following. Thanks for the help @191x7
