Hello, your new rig's starting voltage of 1.2V SOIC seems normal for the B550 Aorus Master. In earlier models, you'd manually set it to 1.1V before overclocking memory. I’d aim to reduce it. That’s the standard setting. For clarity, my baseline is 1.0v, while I default to 1.1 for 1800.

It's the standard affirmative. I haven't adjusted the voltage settings.

On an asus board, your 3200g also sets to 1.2v, which is generally seen as the highest safe voltage you can use each day for all ryanze models.

I reduced the voltage to 1.0V and it started up without issues. Quick checks show no blue screens or crashes in the first few days. The CPU core voltage is also stuck at 1.2V, which appears normal—no need to adjust further.

The system should operate at 1.08 volts with XMP activated. Is the BIOS current?

It technically allows RAM voltage up to 1.35v (±5%), though using it at that speed continuously isn't recommended.

I updated the BIOS to the latest version on October 10th before assembling the PC using the USB installation method. I'll check if 1.0V functions properly; if not, I'll try 1.08V. Appreciate the advice!

It's likely the value rose due to widespread difficulty with XMP for various reasons. SOC shouldn't be a common issue. If you're near 4000mhz, around 1.2v might work, but with sufficient Cas latency and stable primaries, 1v should suffice. Your memory capacity won't expand with higher Dram voltage. Lower the Cas to 20 and check if it can run at 3800mhz with a SOC of 1.08v. CL18 will handle that automatically.

1.08 seems a bit low to me for 1900 1:1, but you never know.. all of these AMD CPUs are different electrically. Sometimes by quite a wide margin..
