I marked my R7 3800X around 3070 Passmark single-threaded performance on the golden core. The other cores were near 2940. A 5.1Ghz Intel hits 3090, a 5.2 chip reaches 3190, and a 4.4Ghz Zen model can hit 3130. Right now it seems we're close to accuracy, but I chose Zen 2 thinking it will improve as issues are resolved. I also read that with better power control, dual-chip CPUs like the 3900X may see larger speed gains due to load balancing between chips.
