Hi, I'm setting up a new PC with an Asus B550 gaming WiFi motherboard and a Ryzen 7 3800X CPU. I'm unsure which DDR4 2x8GB memory to choose—G-SKILL TRIDENT Z F4 3600C 18D-16GTZRX RYZEN EDITION CL or CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO 3200MHz. Which option would be best for you?

3200 meets the requirements for Zen 2, so opt for the CL 16 kit.

The Corsair 3200MHz is ideal, with settings in the 3200-3600MHz range being more important than exact MHz values.

DDR4 3600 CL 18 matches the latency of 3200 CL 16, meaning they both offer similar CAS latency, though the 3600 provides greater bandwidth. The remaining timings are marginally lower, but I still suggest the 3600 for its noticeable speed gains.

I don’t require extra RAM for gaming. Just enough for video editing in Premiere, After Effects and DaVinci Resolve.
