Hi everyone, I’m reaching out for advice because I’m stuck and my knowledge of AMD is limited. A few months back, my brother wanted to build a PC and asked for my help. We purchased the components and put everything together, but recently his PC has stopped working after he was chatting on Discord with friends. It crashes during boot and shows different error messages each time—like a critical process dying or a page fault in an unpaged area. The stopcode is 0xc000021a. We searched online but didn’t find any useful information. We’re sure the hardware is fine, we tried a clean Windows install, but it didn’t fix anything. He’s using Windows 10 with a Ryzen 5 3600, GTX 960, ASRock B450 Steel Legend, and a 2x8 Corsair Vengeance LX 2400MHz. I really need your guidance. Thanks for taking the time to read. steefmaan2000
Make sure you have the RAM in the correct slots. Usually it's 2 and 4 counting from the CPU side. Corsair RAM is usually good, but it's possible you got a bad kit. If you can get your hands on another kit, I'd try swapping it out. Remember to clear the CMOS when you do so. FWIW, 2400MHz is **way** too slow for Ryzen. You should've gotten 3200MHz CL16 at a minimum for pairing with a 3600.
We appreciate the details. The outdated items will be returned, and fresh ones will be ordered.
