There is no difference, all CPUs are the same. The parts that aren't X can be upgraded to achieve the X performance level. Choose whatever fits your budget, and the price change will be minimal.

I enjoy experimenting, so I’d choose the non-X option myself. In my view, $30 remains $30 regardless. Even in 1080p, the difference is minimal once the CPU is overclocked and optimized. I’d prefer allocating that amount to other components like a superior motherboard, RAM, SSD, keyboard, headset, or mouse.
