I recently assembled a PC with a Ryzen 3600X. Despite being satisfied with its speed, I notice the idle temperature stays around 70°C on the desktop while idle, but jumps to 90-95°C when running small apps. During recording sessions with OBS, it reaches 93°C as shown in the video. The details are available in the footage, though I’m unsure if the issue lies with the CPU fan or something else. This is my first PC build, so I’m not very familiar. Could anyone explain why this happens? It’s really bothering me and makes using the machine uncomfortable Sad Stats.mp4

Do you have sufficient airflow within the enclosure? Verify the cooler is securely installed and consider reapplying thermal paste if needed.

How much you bent the cooler down depends on the specific task or measurement you're referring to. Could you clarify the context?

You're placing an order for a fresh thermal paste and considering reattaching it to a larger device. That's perfectly okay.

It seemed like putting it in place wasn’t as easy as it looked. I found myself fumbling a few times before finally getting it secure.

If installed properly, the screw should be fully seated for the stock cooler. Try tightening it more now—this isn’t typical. Feel free to join the forums, and make sure to reference the person you’re responding to so they receive a notification or you can mention them @Mateyyy.

Thanks! I'm placing the order for the thermal paste now and plan to rebuild later. If it doesn't work, I'll look at other options. I'm just concerned about possible mistakes in the BIOS settings.
