Hey there, I've faced this odd problem where my PC crashes when it powers off or the game is running. It's been happening for a while now, and I've tried everything on this setup. My system runs an Intel CPU without issues, so I'm curious if others have similar experiences. I usually leave the computer alone when it triggers these errors and only come back to reset Windows. The issue seems linked to how the system handles sleep or shutdown states.
My machine is powered by an AMD Ryzen 9 5950X with PBO turned on, paired with a Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB DDR4-3600 motherboard running BIOS 4402. I've checked reinstalling drivers, updated Windows, and even changed the sleep settings to "Never." It still doesn't solve the problem.
I've looked into BIOS updates, chipset drivers, and latest graphics support, but nothing seems to fix it. Anyone else notice similar symptoms?
Agreed, then update the optimizer. The issues with Curve Optimizer appear under stress, not during normal operation—especially at low loads like idle or sleeping. Use CoreCycler to verify stability.

I’d need to attempt eliminating PBO and observe the outcome. If it persists, I’d consider removing XMP to reach bone stock. Hi! @CommanderAlex how is it going? Have you get rid of this error? I've got a new 5950x with mobo Asus b550-a gaming and caught WHEA 18, and it happens suddenly when is no any heavy loading present. All stress test CPU passes like a hero, but when i try open chrome or youtube tab - oops and reboot. And the same situation when system absolutely in stock state - even without XMP.
Hey @OkumaOne !! Removing the curve optimizer negative offset that @SorryBella suggested helped, and so far I haven’t seen any crashes. I haven’t tried anything with CO again since the issue stopped. Is the BIOS current to the latest non-Beta version? With two RAM sticks, they’re in the 2nd and 4th slots next to the CPU socket. I’d really like to create a thread about this so others can get updates and contribute.
