Hello, your CPU hits 95°C during OCCT testing, and even in normal gameplay it reaches 95-96°C after six months. You've used MX-4 paste for years and changed it recently, but the issue persists. The pump-out problem wasn't there before, and an AIO fan didn't cause overheating on your previous build with an R5 5600 (max 60-65°C). Some say these CPUs are designed to run hot, but this setup seems excessive for what you're getting. Can you clarify what's happening?
had a comparable problem but with a 5600; upon inspection, the screws were completely stripped and I can't secure a proper mount anymore.
Observing 95-96°C during OCCT stress test is typical with a 7700x even when using a full custom water loop. Temperatures are slightly elevated in Battlefield 2042 but remain within AMD specifications. Have you adjusted the pump speed or AIO fan speed? I can assist with tweaking BIOS settings to potentially reduce heat. I personally lowered my 7700x's temps by around 15°C.
This specific design includes a THICCCCCC radiator, offering significantly greater heat dissipation than a standard 240mm unit.
It doesn't really change things much. More or thicker fans would help, which is why even 280mm AIOs perform well—the 140mm ones just handle it better. If the rad fins are spread properly and the thickness is used wisely, they can ease the problem. But because less surface area contacts fresh air, cooling is affected. Feel free to tell me if you have any errors or misunderstandings—I did my best to stay neutral and didn't focus on AIOs much.
