Not always. I use an old Xeon NAS setup with basic transcode functions and multiple SATA cards. When RAID is active, it takes a couple of minutes to start up, but switching to host mode quickly—just without RAID—lets it boot in under 15 seconds. After that point, it likely runs on MSI hardware.

Using a single SSD and one HDD (the same configuration I described previously) results in four times longer POST times.

Earlier BIOS sessions showed a start time of about 33.7 seconds. Launching now feels quick—around one minute. This is much quicker than the previous experience, which usually took nearly ten minutes.

Did you enter your BIOS, choose 'set optimized defaults', restart, returned and adjusted settings like XMP, and then verified the impact?

Typically there are many choices, but from my studies and real experience, the MSI POST times appear to be slow. I’m confused about why the Fast Boot feature isn’t included.
