AMD PBO and CPU voltage settings
Switching from MSI MAG B550 to Asus ROG Strix B550-F has affected my ability to adjust idle voltage on my PBO overclock. At rest it reaches around 1.45V, but under load it falls between 1.23 and 1.28V as I configured in UEFI. The MSI motherboard offered an "AMD Overclocking" setting with an offset for idle voltage, which the Asus model lacks. Manually adjusting the CPU voltage disables PBO, leaving me stuck at 3.3GHz all-core at 1.28V and struggling to hit low idle temps below 45°C. I’m hoping there’s a hidden setting or another method I haven’t tried yet. My 5800X maintains around 45°C idle, and with manual OC at 4.5GHz all-core at 1.28V, single cores reach up to 5.1GHz. Keeping PBO enabled seems important for better control.
