I downloaded AMD overdrive and encountered some controls that are grayed out and cannot be adjusted. One specific issue is the Quick Setup in the preferences, which remains grayed out and locked at default when I click the drop-down and press quick setup. I am running the latest version of AMD overdrive (4.3.1.0690). I attempted to overclock using BIOS settings, but there are no options in the BIOS that even come close to overclocking. I am using Windows 8.1. My system has an AMD A6 Elite accelerated processor (2.9Ghz - 3.5Ghz) paired with Radeon HD 8450G graphics, a dual-core chip.

It doesn't seem like your motherboard supports overclocking, so you can't

Amd overdrive needs to be turned on. Did you agree to the precautionary statement (please mark yes in the box)??.......... it's included in the CCC.

Your processor isn't unlocked, which means it doesn't support overclocking. Both my A10-5750M and yours have the same limitation, capping performance at 3.5GHz. I achieved that speed by enabling Turbo Boost and configuring the system to use high-performance settings.
