AMD Overdrive Feature Not Activating During Startup
I restored my old Phenom II 965BE with a gigabyte GA73LMTUSB3, version 4.1, and built a basic general-purpose PC.
Previously, I ran the CPU at 1.37v @3.9GHz using AMD overdrive tools. Just checking the 'apply last settings at boot' option made it work.
Now, the BIOS won’t apply the changes automatically. Setting it to 3.7ghz @1.375v and applying it didn’t save on boot. Restarting it applied the setting, but turning it off brings it back to defaults.
I’ve tried various methods—AOD service settings, registry edits, shortcuts in startup folder, running DISM, changing admin rights, even adjusting BIOS voltage. It still doesn’t auto-apply.
Recently, I installed Gigabytes EasyTune 6 and slowed the CPU fan, which caused AOD to fail. I’m really frustrated and had to reinstall Windows, but it’s still not working.
The minimum voltage in BIOS is 1.475v, but I’m trying to undervolt. Any suggestions?
Don't worry, it has finally corrected itself after a long time, just like the 50th reboot, for an unknown reason :S
